Created in 2018, IMEDI is a non-profit association governed by the law of July 1, 1901. Its purpose is to remove the language barrier in order to guarantee people with little or no French speaking better access to rights and care; to support the reception, social integration, emancipation of people in precarious situations, to participate in the development and promotion of the profession of interpreter in a medico-social environment.
IMEDI provides its clients working in the medico-social, educational and administrative fields with a professional interpreting and translation solution in 60 different languages and dialects. Its team of more than 50 professional interpreters-translators has solid experience and knowledge.
IMEDI pays particular attention to professional ethics. Its ethics charter guarantees its partners strict compliance with the ethical principles governing this profession.
Concerned about the major importance of the continuous training of its interpreters-translators, IMEDI organizes several sessions each year given by professionals and practitioners specialized in the medico-social, educational and administrative sectors. It also oversees a collective review of the professional practice of its team of interpreters-translators through supervision sessions and practice analyzes organized monthly.
